In 2014 Home Depot was a Bronze Sponsor of World Pride here in Toronto. They represented in the Toronto Pride Parade in a float that was sturdy, simple, and useful: A Bright Orange Tool Box. Today I chatted with Ray Goral an Associate and Store Manager of the Home Depot Stock Yards who confirmed that for this years Parade they will be back in their Tool Box as Proud as ever. Home Depot’s noble community efforts are something that they are very humble about. Ray gave me the inside scoop on community initiatives Home Depot has volunteered their time and resources for in and around Toronto’s Gay Village. They include renovations at The 519, garden makeovers at Toronto’s Lesbian and Gay Archives (CLGA), and their latest initiative is helping out at Homeless Youth shelters around Toronto.
