Rainbow Railroad is a Canadian non-profit organization, operated predominately by volunteers, that helps get LGBTQ individuals abroad to safety. Rainbow Railroad is on pace to save 80 lives this year. There is still over 70 countries around the world where homosexual activity is punishable by law. There is still lots of work to do.

I got a chance to speak with Kimahli Powell (2nd from the Right) the Executive Director of Rainbow Railroad and got to learn how the organization came to be and how his efforts extend beyond Rainbow Railroad. Ann Rosenfield (far left) is a long time active ally of the LGBTQ community since the 80’s and voices her absolute gratitude of living here in Canada and the passion she brings working at Rainbow Railroad. Listen to the stories below of these two motivated and passionate individuals and learn about the many phenomenal things happening at Rainbow Railroad.
Rainbow Railroad is working to raise the money to save 60 lives in the last 60 days of 2016. It’s the season of giving and any contribution or support is so gratefully appreciated and will go towards saving an LGBTQ life abroad living in danger everyday because of who they are.
Special Thanks to Sonnet Insurance for being the charitable sponsor for this campaign.
