Toronto Pride Guide! Celebrate Pride! June 1-23, 2019

Pride Toronto has unveiled the 2019 Pride Guide! The guide can be picked up in around Church street or at the Pride Office, 55 Berkeley Street.  This years marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and the birth of the LGBTQ2+ movement around the world! Toronto Pride has an exciting program for 2019 and are incredibly excited to take you through the interpretation of this pivitol event in LGBTQ2+ history!  Marsha P Johnson was an Afican American trans woman and  a revolutionary who instigated the Stonewall Riots in 1969.  She was an incredible woman known for her eclectic style, and her bold fearless leadership.  She changed the world and made it easier for everyone in this community to take up space.

The official Pride Month Launch Party is Saturday, June 1st at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 158 Sterling Road, 7pm-1:00am.  This years Pride Launch Party will be the greatest yet!  They are hosting the event on the first day of Pride Month and it’s inside one of the city newest and most exciting art institutions (MOCA).  This year the launch party is a takeover of Rainbow Railroad’s annual Freedom Party-an event raising money for the important organizations work-and a collaboration with the Toronto KiKi Ballroom Alliance.  VIP Reception: 7pm-9pm  Tickets at PRIDETORONTO.COM

Opening Ceremony, Tuesday, June 4th

The City of Toronto will proclaim June as Pride month and raise the Rainbow and Transgender Flags on the Podium Roof of City Hall at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, June 4th, 2019.  This yearly event brings the community together to celebrate the history, courage and diversity of Toronto’s LGBTQ2+ communities.  Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street W.  The event is FREE to attend.

2019 Street Fair. June 21-23, 2019  Church Street, Wellesley Street, Alexander Street

Grab your friends and wander the village to connect with the community!  The annual street fair aims to give exposure to local LGBTQ2+ organizations, artisans and sponsors!  There is a huge range of vendors with options for everyone!  Stop by the PROUD FM PRIDE Toronto Stage June 22 & 23!

Toronto’s Trans March is officially one of the largest, most exciting Pride events in the world-not only for all the trans, non-binary friends of, and allies who rally and march together in solidarity; but for anyone who is lucky enough to witness the landmark event.  Pride Toronto is happy to announce GIGI GORGEOUS will be the Trans Ambassador for 2019!

An exciting new addition to the Church Street festival!  The DJ Station is at the iconic corner of Wood Street packed solid with Toronto’s finest DJ’s and DJ Collectives all weekend long!
